I'm thrilled to announce that the series BITTEN is premiering on SPACE on January 11th and SYFY on January 13th, 2014.

Set in Toronto and upper New York State, BITTEN follows the adventures of 28-year-old Elena Michaels, the world’s only female werewolf. An orphan, Elena thought she finally found her “happily ever after” with her new love Clayton, until her life changed forever. With one small bite, the normal life she craved was taken away and she was left to survive life with the Pack.

This is what I was up to all spring and summer of this year where I got to dress the marvelous and gorgeous werewolves and work with an amazing cast and crew that I miss already.
Fortunately none of the costume crew was bitten in the course of this show even though we had wolfsbane and stylish bandages in stock on the wardrobe truck.

Elena's red jacket from GUESS (circa Summer 2013), episode 13 season 1. As you can see we covered up the zippers (by cutting up one of the jackets!) because I found that much hardware on her jacket too distracting, especially in close ups. She's to represent the culmination of family blood in this episode. Thanks to Erika for asking about it.

Any chance you'll reveal where you sourced Elena's wardrobe? I'm a fan of the Kelley Armstrong Otherworld series and always imagined Elena as a stylish tomboy in dark colors and leathers. It's really cool seeing another perspective to the character. Thank you for your hard work!

Hi KD,
The great thing about books is you can imagine anything you like when it comes to characters. I sometimes even recast once or twice while reading through novels and my heroine changes. The series however is for television, and everyone always wants it to be hot and sexy. And since Laura (who plays Elena for those of you not in the know), is such a stunner herself, trying to make her look like a tomboy was not going to be successful.
Her wardrobe came from so many different sources here in Toronto. She wore Free People, Aritzia, BCBG, Alice and Olivia, Jbrand and Hudson jeans, Paige, Guess and well without being able to see into her closet that's all I can remember right now.

I'm a fan of the show and a HUGE fan of the outfits you chose for Laura's character. Can you list the details you think are necessary to put together incredible outfits like this? I'm so inspired by the style, but I have no eye for for fashion myself- please reveal your secrets!!

Hannah, I don't think there are any secrets to reveal. I go to the script always first and look at the action and emotions involved for the basis of what Elena needs to wear. Then with the inspiration of the lovely Laura and what silhouettes and styles she likes, plus some amazing shopping done in Toronto, we come up with her look. I wish I could make it sound more magical but maybe I'm too close to the process to see it as such. Thanks for your kind words Hannah!

Hey, I'm trying to find out who makes the weekend duffel bag from Season 1 episode 1 for Elena - you see it in a few more episodes too but it's what she's carrying as she walks up to Stonehaven. Anyone know? I want one ;)

Hi Erika,
I too loved that jacket! The director wanted that episode to be really dark so it was actually cherry red and bought in many multiples from Guess. I posted a photo of it and the best I could find of the original in this very post for you. Sadly I can't find it to purchase as its from 2014, but maybe your detecting skills will surpass mine.

Hi Lilie! I gotta say we shot that episode of Bitten 4 years and likely 4000 outfits ago (I have put on actors since) so I’m sorry to say I don’t know what top you’re talking about. I googled my own show but couldn’t find a pic, but if you have one, send it to me and maybe I can help.

Hi, you're totally right... i feel a little stupid haha :D. I started to watch the show only a few days ago (shamebox). I couldn't find a pic myself but if this can help, it's the Dark blue transparent knit pullover/sweater elena wears in S1E01. You first see it at 23:50 when she enters logan's house. But you see it better at 25:21 when she talks to Philip in his apartment. Hope this help ?

Hey, I'm desperate to find the beige sweater Elena had in Series 1. Think it was the 2nd episode. She wears it teamed up with a beige tank, it looks asymmetrical and is really fine knit like crochet (if this makes sense) xx

Hi Joanna! I'm obsessed with Elena's style you do SUCH a good job! I'm looking for the boots she is wearing in season 1 episode 2 after talking with Clay outside the bedroom! They look black with some lacing up the back! Any help or info is so greatly appreciated!!
